In August 2025, there will be important updates in the breeding value estimation for "Beef-on-Dairy" (BoD) bulls – that is, beef breed bulls used for insemination of dairy cows. In addition to a new base for calving breeding values, breeding values for calf weight and calf sales revenue will be published for the first time.
This will enable dairy farmers to select BoD bulls even more precisely to suit their own herd.
